About

Peter Dyer is a keyboardist and programmer residing in Los Angeles, CA. Schooled and skilled in vintage synthesizers and keyboards, his passion lies in bringing new life to the sounds of yesteryear and fusing them into today’s music. His influences come from his father’s pile of LPs, from which he dug out artists like Yes, ELP, Tower of Power, Deep Purple, Return To Forever, and Stevie Wonder. Peter has toured worldwide with pop-legend Mariah Carey, soul-man Aloe Blacc, and neo-soul artist Van Hunt. Other acts include pop artist Anjulie, hip-hop duo UNI, Outasight, Scott Ryan, Classics, & Elemay. Peter also works as a composer/arranger, having arranged and orchestrated for Mariah Carey’s live shows and for local ensembles in LA. Peter received his formal education at Mt. Hood College, while arranging charts and playing for the vocal- jazz ensemble “Genesis”, led by mentor Dave Barduhn (Stan Kenton Big Band). Peter moved down to LA to get a degree from the Musician’s Institute in 2006, under scholarship, quickly moving to the top ranks of the keyboard department. Extremely proficient with sound design and pro- gramming with Apple Logic Studio and Digital Performer, Peter can provide sequencing of all musical, percussion, vocals, and custom synthesizer programming for tours and/or recording projects. Peter has performed on numerous television shows, including Late Night w/ David Letterman, Oprah, Conan O’Brien, Lopez Tonight, Good Morning America, the Today Show, American Idol, America’s Got Talent, & The View.

Peter specializes in synthesizers/contemporary keys, and programming/sound design for live performance. He also scores for film and media and arranges for strings.
